Guitar Lessons
Just as in singing, no matter what your personal musical goals are, I can help you achieve them by tailoring your lessons to your needs. For example, if you are a singer or player in a pop or cover band, or if you want to simply "strum along" with your favorite country or folk songs at home and with family, your lessons are going to be different than if you were auditioning for a collegiate classical music scholarship. No matter what genre of music you love, I will help you build the necessary skills and techniques necessary to become a better player. Be sure to read my teaching philosophy to learn more about my approach to teaching and structuring lessons.
Why should I take guitar lessons?
The benefits of taking guitar lessons are plentiful. You will...
- ... learn an instrument that you can (literally) take anywhere and that can be with you for the rest of your life.
- ... learn to read and understand music.
- ... improve your hand-eye coordination, as well as coordination between your two hands.
- ... increase dexterity in the hands and fingers.
- ... know the history of the guitar and its path of evolution from the medieval lute.
- ... learn an instrument that, like the piano, can truly cross all genres.
- ... learn to love music in an entirely new way.
- ... become the life of the party!!!
